ACCOMMODATIONS

Book your stay at one of the many Pet-Friendly accommodations in town. The Park on Main Hotel is a pet-friendly boutique hotel that caters specifically to dogs and their human sidekicks. 

Park on Main Collage

Highlander Mountain House - Pets can be accommodated in the bunkhouse for $50-$100 (depending on size)
200 Main - Pet friendly upon request. One pet, dogs only, $75 per night fee.
Outpost Inn - $50 per night fee for dogs up to 50lbs. Larger dogs upon approval- fees not to exceed $150 per night.
Skyline Lodge - One dog up to 50lbs, or two dogs totaling 60lbs per guestroom.
Trailborn Highlands - $35/day pet fee - 40lb weight restriction and a limit of two pets per room.
High Camp - Cabins are equipped with pet blankets, towels and bowls.
Highlands Inn - A pet friendly cottage is available at an extra cost.

 

 

DOG PARKS & PETS SHOPS

Let your dog socialize at the Mr. Pickles Dog Park or the new Highlands Dog Park, both offering safe, fenced areas for off-leash fun. These well-maintained parks are popular gathering spots for locals and visitors alike. For treats and gear, be sure to visit Highlands Mountain Paws located on Main Street or Paws on The Mountain in Cashiers.

 

 

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE

For outdoor adventure, choose from a variety of nearby trails, such as Sunset Rock, and swimming spots where dogs can cool off in crystal-clear mountain streams, like the Mill Creek Bridge on the Highlands Plateau Greenway.

Dogs are welcome at Friday and Saturday night outdoor concerts that occur May through October. Halloween on Main is another great event for your furry friend to join in on! Bring them trick-or-treating on a leash and in their costume.
