Historic Homes Tour – June 21, 2025

On Saturday, June 21, the Highlands Historical Society will host its annual Historic Homes Tour, offering a unique glimpse into the town's architectural past. This year's self-guided tour features three notable residences: Cheeonondah (the Sloan House), Faraway (the Lapham Home), and Wolf Ridge (the Ravenel Home). At each location, guests will be greeted by costumed interpreters portraying past owners, sharing stories and historical insights about the homes.

The tour operates from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with groups departing every 30 minutes from Highlands School, located at 545 Pierson Drive. Tickets are priced at $100 per person and must be purchased in advance. Attendees are advised to arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time for check-in and shuttle boarding. The event will proceed rain or shine, and participants should be prepared for a 90-minute tour without restroom facilities.
