It’s difficult not to smile as you see them strolling along Main Street. The furry family members parade in all colors and sizes, purebreds and mutts, puppies and aged. Others serve as faithful companions hiking on the lush trails. No matter where we take or encounter them, one thing is certain: Highlands loves dogs.


DOG PARKS

The Highlands Dog Park at Foreman Rd. and 4th St., is a perfect spot for dogs to run and play off-leash. The park offers a welcoming environment where scheduled play dates and spontaneous fun can take place.

Highlands Dog Park - The recently revitalized dog park is located behind the Highlands Recreation Center, just off Foreman Road.
Mr. Pickles Dog Park- Available for Park on Main guests only. Open 24/7.


ACCOMMODATIONS

Highlands boasts several pet-friendly accommodations that cater to travelers with furry companions. From the upscale Park on Main, which offers luxurious amenities and dog-friendly features, to cozy lodges like Skyline Lodge and 200 Main, there are options to suit every preference and budget. These establishments ensure that both you and your pet have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Highlander Mountain House - Pets can be accommodated in the bunkhouse with a small fee.
200 Main - Pet friendly upon request. One pet, dogs only, 75$ per night fee.
Outpost Inn - $50 per night fee for dogs up to 50lbs. Larger dogs upon approval- fees not to exceed $150 per night.
Skyline Lodge - One dog up to 50lbs, or two dogs totaling 60lbs per guestroom.
The Inn at Mill Creek
Trailborn Highlands - Pet friendly upon request.
High Camp
Highlands Inn - A pet friendly cottage is available at an extra cost.

Dogs are welcome at Friday and Saturday night outdoor concerts that occur May through October. In May, there is the Highlands Dog Show where all pups and their owners to join in the festivities for a delightful afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and canine camaraderie. Halloween on Main is another great event for your furry friend to join in on! Bring them trick-or-treating on a leash and in their costume.
