Overview

The Main Street Inn was built as a home and completed in 1885. In 1924 it was converted into a boarding house that housed up to 50 people. Throughout its rich history, it has been known as The Potts House, The Paxton House, The Tate House, The Phelps House, and most recently, The Main Street Inn and home of the Bistro on Main, where we continue the tradition of serving fine food. The Main Street Inn has 18 pristine rooms featuring pure white bedding and rich, dark, original floors. We are truly a Highlands traditional lodging experience. Join us at Bistro on Main from May through mid-December for fine food, camaraderie, and live music on weekends, featuring Norma Jean Zahner and Zoran Nastasic.
