What: CLE: MEXICO AND THE UNITED STATES
Good Neighbors in Search of Harmony Mexico and the United States are bound by common interests, shared problems and a long border. Both are multicultural, predominantly Christian, love music and the arts, vacation across their border, eat and drink similar food and compete in the same sports. Both are plagued with concerns about drugs and violence, obesity and health care, unemployment, environmental degradation and resource depletion, corruption and government inefficiency. The countries both admire and are yet somewhat suspicious of each other. This class examines the historical roots of these conditions and considers possible ways to improve the situation.
