Guides to Increased Consciousness
Swiss psychologist Carl Jung believed that dreams are dramas about unknown parts of ourselves and that their
purpose is to guide us to greater self-knowledge, health and wholeness. This class, which is based on Dr. Raffa’s
book, Dream Theatres of the Soul, will examine the five basic archetypes of the human psyche: the ego, persona,
shadow, animus/anima (unconscious masculine and feminine sides) and Self, our spiritual core. Dr. Raffa will
illustrate how our dreams can give us practical information about our personality and behavior that can make
important contributions to our efforts to grow more psychologically whole and spiritually mature.
