Computers are amazing and evolving power tools. The way to use computers safely on the internet is changing
because the bad things that can happen are changing too. It used to be that not opening an attachment on email
was enough to protect you from getting a virus. That is no longer the case. This hands-on class will show you how to protect yourself using a variety of free or reasonably priced programs and little steps that can make all the
difference. If you have a laptop, bring it. If you don’t have one, you’ll still be fine.

Iraq and the Problem of Reconstruction
Following any war, the process of Reconstruction is a difficult one, fraught with uncertainty, violence and political upheaval. This talk explores the reconstruction of Iraq through the experience of a historian who served as an advisor to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense. It will also draw historical parallels between Iraq’s experience with reconstruction and America’s own reconstruction after the Civil War.
